Matthew became an Independent Trustee in December 2025.
Matthew has 30 years of experience in the accounting industry. As a former Partner at Ernst and Young, he led tax services to clients across the UK and globally. Matthew has overseen global IT strategy and innovation, and used technology and data analytics to improve service delivery for his clients.
He holds an MSc in Computing and has a particular interest in the ethical and inclusive application of digital tools. Matthew sponsors EY’s UK Neurodiversity Community, mentors emerging talent, and supports inclusion programmes. His experience as a parent of children with health needs has deepened his commitment to the College’s mission.
Matthew plays walking rugby, has coached youth rugby and runs half-marathons to raise funds for charities.
