Submit an abstract to the Trainee Research Network conference 2026

This conference on 17 June in Stafford is for paediatric residents with an interest in research. You'll build research skills, network, share learning and find out about high-quality research from across the UK. 

The theme is 'Building Capacity: Past, Present and Future’.

We invite abstracts from the conference delegates. Please read the abstract guidelines on the event web page and complete the below form by Friday, 27 March.

List each institution with its corresponding number.
Was this work conducted through a regional trainee research network?

Present your abstract under these five headings:

  1. Background – why did you do the study?
  2. Aims – what was the objectives of the study?
  3. Methods – how was the study undertaken?
  4. Results and discussion – what did you find?
  5. Conclusion – why are your findings important? Are there any other next steps?

Your abstract should be no more than 470 words, with an additional allowance of 130 words for references (up to 600 words total).
