Contact us about RCPCH digital growth charts

The RCPCH digital growth charts accurately calculate centiles and standard deviation scores (SDS) for a child’s height, weight, head circumference and BMI – displaying the result on a graph designed to provide clinicians with the information they need to monitor a child’s growth.

The RCPCH growth chart is a registered medical device and is overseen by a multidisciplinary committee of clinicians, not limited to health visitors, midwives, paediatric dietitians and paediatricians.

The growth chart code is designed to be integrated into an electronic patient record (an EPR) and is already in use across many NHS Trusts in England, Scotland and Wales. It is available on a subscription basis (with a free tier for testing).

The code is open source, and the service is managed sustainably as a non-profit initiative.
