Through our Global Links programme, we recruit, prepare and support doctors, nurses and midwives for long-term placements as volunteer mentors. These placements are in countries where we work, including Rwanda, Sierra Leone and Nepal. We usually deploy Global Links mentors in August/September and in February/March to align with UK paediatric training patterns. You can apply for this role at any time, and we review applications on a rolling basis. But, we recommend you apply six to 12 months before a potential deployment. In this application, we'll ask you some questions about why you want to volunteer, any preferences on country and length of placement, and the earliest date you can start. Don't worry if you're not sure of the details! We can discuss the opportunities and your experience in more detail.More about Global Links and what it means to be a volunteer mentor
