To apply for RCPCH Associate membership, you'll need a primary medical qualification and to work mainly in child health. You can live anywhere in the world. Some associate members also register for training with us.

Associate membership may be of interest to:
- SAS (Specialist and Specialty) doctors working in paediatrics
- Associate Specialists
- Trust Doctors
- General Practitioners who have not passed MRCPCH Clinical - especially if pursuing, or have, the Diploma of Child Health
About Associate membership with training
Some Associate members also register for training with us - for access to RCPCH ePortfolio and training support. If you're applying for the Portfolio Pathway (previously Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration CESR), in the UK, or you plan to join the training programme in future, you'll want to add training to your membership.

Discounted membership in your first year
We offer a 50% reduction to membership and training fees for the first year of Associate membership for those who:
- work as a doctor in the UK
- are not currently an RCPCH member.
Applying
We admit Associate members on a monthly basis. Applications received will be considered for commencement of membership from the 1st of the following month.
