Notes and posters from SPS St Andrew's Day Paediatric Symposium 2022

This was the Centenary Symposium of the Scottish Paediatric Society, and we were delighted to be joined by speakers from a number of specialties to provide contributions highlighting the advances in Paediatric Care in Scotland over the years - including posters which you can view below.

The Scottish Paediatric Society Annual General Meeting and the Centenary St Andrew’s Day Paediatric Symposium was held jointly with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and the Scottish Association of Community Child Health on Friday 25 November 2022, hosted by Dr Lynn Macleod, Consultant in General Paediatrics, Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow.

As this was the Centenary Symposium we invited guest speakers from a number of specialties to provide contributions highlighting the advances in Paediatric Care in Scotland over the years. We were also delighted to have Dr Camilla Kingdon, President of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Heath to deliver the RCPCH Address.

Key highlights:

  • Climate Change Prize for research, audit or a significant project development that influences the health of children and young people.
  • Clinical case presentations - highlighting important or unusual clinical presentations, issues in relation to the diagnostic work up, management or complications
  • Research, Audit and Quality Improvement presentations - original research work or audit carried out in any paediatric specialit
