British Paediatric Surveillance Unit

The BPSU is a world leading centre for rare paediatric disease surveillance. It enables doctors and researchers to investigate how many children in the UK and Republic of Ireland are affected by particular rare diseases, conditions or treatments each year.

Clinical guidelines

Paediatricians and their colleagues regularly use clinical guidelines to manage the treatment of children's medical conditions. We produce guidelines in line with our NICE accreditation. We provide a directory and we support specialty groups to develop guidelines.

We offer two qualifications: Membership (MRCPCH) and the Diploma of Child Health (DCH). We support candidates to register, apply for and sit their exams - whether in the UK and Ireland, or in a growing number of countries internationally.
