RCPCH Registrar, Dr Jan Dudley, said:
I am truly honoured to be elected as your College Registrar. This is a crucial time for paediatrics, and I am clear more work must be done by Governments around the UK to improve the working lives of paediatricians and to put children at the centre of their policy making. Having worked on a variety of College projects for 9 of the past 14 years, I’ve seen firsthand what we can achieve as Registrar.
I look forward to working alongside the President, senior officers, and the College team to make a real difference for our members and children and young people. I want to thank my peers and colleagues Dr Yincent Tse and Dr Natasha Njenga, the election was made better by your being in it. Finally, I would like to thank all our members who have placed their trust in me.
RCPCH President, Professor Steve Turner, said:
I’m delighted to announce that Dr Jan Dudley is our new college Registrar. I know from experience how crucial the role of Registrar is to our college and I couldn’t be more pleased to welcome Jan to the RCPCH team.
My sincere thanks to all candidates in this year’s Registrar election. It is heartening to see that we have such healthy competition for college leadership roles.
