Newly appointed Officer for Health Services, Dr Ronny Cheung said:

It’s a real honour to be appointed as Officer for Health Services at this critical time. Child health is at a critical juncture and integrated care raises an opportunity to deliver good health and wellbeing for children and young people across organisations, albeit against a testing backdrop of workforce and funding challenges. I plan to use my experience, values, and skills to support child health colleagues systemwide and to advocate for children and young people at every opportunity.

No doubt this will be a challenge, but I look forward to getting started.

RCPCH President, Dr Camilla Kingdon, said:

We’re so excited to be welcoming Dr Cheung to this new and crucial role. Informing, influencing and shaping policy and practice so that UK health services provide high quality, safe and sustainable health care services for all children in all settings is at the heart of the College’s work. The primary purpose of this exciting new role is to develop the College’s work in this area, improving the design and delivery of children’s health services, through setting standards and advocating for paediatric services.

Ronny, we are so thrilled to have you on board!
