We are truly saddened to hear of the death of Her Majesty the Queen and offer our heartfelt condolences to our Patron, Her Royal Highness Princess Anne, and the royal family at this very sad time.
The Queen’s unstinting devotion and service were an inspiration to many the world over. Her advocacy and humanitarian work in countries across the world have been truly inspirational for many who work to care for babies, children and young people and their families.
The College pays homage to the tireless work of Her Majesty as patron of a significant number of hospitals and medical charities. The Queen’s dedicated schedule of visits to schools and hospitals over the years, and the interest that she showed in their endeavours has been much appreciated by our members who work in paediatrics and child health. As the nation enters a period of mourning, our thoughts are with her family at this sad time.
