In December 2024, Dr Dr Josephine Neale delivered a RCPCH-BPSU webinar "ARFID in Children and Young People Study – What did we learn?", discussing the BPSU ARFID study which took place in 2021, and explaining what ARFID looks like in the different groups, and the current state of the service provision.

This webinar builds on the previous and aims to answer frequently asked questions about ARFID.

Speaker

Dr Josephine Neale MBBS BSc MRCPsych

Dr Neale is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and Clinical Lead for Private Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services at Priory. She is also the Founder and Medical Director of Neale Health, the UK’s first online-only, CQC-regulated children’s mental health service.

Dr Neale holds dual academic appointments as Honorary Associate Professor at University College London and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London. Her research interests focus particularly on Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) and the interface between mental health and paediatric medicine. She has authored research papers and textbook chapters and regularly presents at national and international conferences.
