Central to this meeting was thoughtful consideration of staff, College members and the children and young people in their care, as well as the future sustainability of the College.
At this time, having considered all of these key groups very carefully, the College cannot justify increasing its pay offer. In order to increase pay, very careful and difficult decisions will need to be made that could include increasing fees for members and/or reducing the scope of activities within the College.
These are very serious considerations and Trustees and Senior Leaders require more time to make such important decisions. We know that College staff need certainty about pay and we are committed to sharing a decision, with staff and our members, by the end of June 2023.
