Your membership in West England

Each member is represented on RCPCH Council by an Officer in their UK or international region. If you work and/or live in West England, your Area Officers are Professor Will Carroll and Dr Kulsoom Riaz, and they're here to seek and promote your views on issues in paediatrics, child health and the College’s work. Find out about Will and Kulsoom and how to get in touch - and see what's happening across the west!

Please note! This is a pilot page for West England. We hope to create web pages for members living in other areas of the UK and internationally.

I am an industrious and inspirational leader, teacher and researcher. I have enjoyed and flourished in every role I have undertaken, and I have a breadth of senior leadership roles clinically, in research and education. I have really enjoyed my Officer for Research role with the RCPCH and this is due to finish in 2026. One of the great privileges of my time in various College roles has been the time I have spent with the RCPCH &Us group.

Dr Kulsoom Riaz

I am an experienced consultant paediatrician with broad expertise in acute and general paediatrics, clinical leadership, and service development. A Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health with over 12 years of continuous membership, I am committed to professional advocacy, collaborative working and improving outcomes for infants, children and young people.

You can contact Will and Kulsoom (or other Geographic Officers if you live in another area) through our short form. Feel free to share your ideas and questions.
