Education and Learning Board

The Education and Learning Board (ELB) was established in October 2021 and reports to the Education and Training Executive. The Board provides strategic leadership for all the education and professional development activity, such as courses, digital learning and CPD programmes. As the educational landscape continues to evolve, the ELB plays a vital role in ensuring that healthcare professionals have access to high-quality, accessible and impactful learning opportunities that support excellence in paediatric care.

What the ELB does

The ELB provides strategic direction and governance to ensure that RCPCH education:

•    aligns with the College's strategic priorities and workforce need
•    supports lifelong learning and professional development
•    embraces innovation in digital and blended learning
•    maintains high standards of educational quality
•    promotes accessibility, inclusion, and learner engagement
•    responds to emerging trends and future challenges in child health and paediatric practice.

Through its leadership, the Board helps ensure that RCPCH remains at the forefront of paediatric education and continues to improve outcomes for children and young people through excellence in learning and professional development.
