The event kicked off in style with a welcome from Dr Camilla Kingdon, RCPCH President 2021-24.
This was followed by a presentation from the RCPCH &Us team of children and young people: a vital feature of the conference.
Professor Sir Michael Marmot CH, Director of USL Institute of Health Equity was the first keynote speaker on our main stage and discussed child health inequalities.
Monday afternoon saw Professor Miranda Wolpert talk on 'Creating a step change in early intervention for anxiety and depression' in her keynote plenary.
As always, delegates were able to unwind after a busy first day with conference welcome drinks taking place in the exhibition hall.
Early risers on Tuesday morning started the day with a 6.5km run led by former Vice President for Training and Assessment, Dr David Evans.
Dr Richard Scott, acting CEO for Genomics England, took to the main stage to deliver a keynote talk exploring genomics and linking clinical care to research.
Over 400 posters, showcasing the latest in research and best practice, were on display throughout the event in the Exhibition Hall and on the conference app.
Dr Ronny Cheung, consultant general paediatrician, delivered his plenary to a packed hall: 'Papers that change practice?' A paediatric generalist's quest to follow the science'.
An end of an era at the RCPCH as Dr Camilla Kingdon handed over the Presidency of the College to Professor Steve Turner.
The much-loved and always lively RCPCH Conference dinner took place on Tuesday evening with over 200 delegates in attendance.
This year's conference explored technological advances in health care, and Dr Umang Patel's talk looked at the general purpose artificial intelligence (AI) in paediatrics.
Such a well-attended conference added to the buzz of the Exhibition Hall, with many organisations showcasing their work.
A truly diverse event, delegates could also make the most of a selection of workshops and specialist symposia being delivered throughout the three days.
Delegates from across the UK and around the world enjoyed the networking opportunities Conference had to offer, whether it was online via the app or in the venue!
We also celebrated the next generation of aspiring paediatricians. Each year we give foundation doctors passionate about a career in paediatrics one-day free access to RCPCH Conference.
The final talk of this year's event reflected on the Independent Review of Gender Identity Services for children and young people, delivered by Dr Hilary Cass.
