Research funding opportunities

CICRA welcomes applications for small grants of up to £400 to enable UK based trainees/nurses/medical students and similar persons with an interest in the area of Crohn's and colitis (IBD) to participate in appropriate scientific/educational congresses etc.

Coeliac UK in collaboration with Innovate UK are launching a second research call to industry and researchers to make improvements for people living with coeliac disease. Research must focus on either: improving diagnostics for coeliac disease, refractory coeliac disease and/or gluten related neurological conditions; developing tools for improving the long term management of coeliac disease; enhancing the quality of staple gluten free food.

Aims to fund a UK-wide study to describe the occurrence of IBD (inflammatory bowel disease), stratified by age, socioeconomic status, ethnicity and geographical location.

Comic Relief primarily makes grants to create long term change, to help achieve a world where everyone is safe, healthy, educated and empowered. Funding is allocated under four programme areas - investing in children and young people, empowering women and girls, improving health and wellbeing and building stronger communities.

Funding is offered to encourage exceptional clinicians (healthcare professionals working in clinical practice) with a research interest in IBD (irritable bowel disease) to develop into future IBD specialist experts.

To fund scientific research into Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), research into the social and psychological impacts of IBD, and research into improving health services for people with the condition.

To encourage young scientists to gain their PhD whilst researching Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

For non-clinician scientists with a PhD wishing to undertake scientific research relevant to or involving children with Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
