Research funding opportunities

Inviting applications for medical research that has the potential to benefit children and adults with Ataxia Telangiectasia (A-T).

Travel grants may be given to enable the attendance at important international research events of professionals engaged in A-T research, where this would otherwise not be possible.

Travel awards for researchers or students presenting at conferences on the ataxias

Provides small grants (less than £5000) for research projects into Ataxia.

Intended to enable outstanding graduates to gain the necessary skills and training to set them on course for the development of an independent career in one of their three priority research areas, or to support clinicians entering a clinical academic career pathway focused on one of these areas.

Coeliac UK in collaboration with Innovate UK are launching a second research call to industry and researchers to make improvements for people living with coeliac disease. Research must focus on either: improving diagnostics for coeliac disease, refractory coeliac disease and/or gluten related neurological conditions; developing tools for improving the long term management of coeliac disease; enhancing the quality of staple gluten free food.

Epilepsy Research UK is issuing an urgent call for health services research that will generate high-quality evidence that informs the future delivery, quality, cost, or access of care for people with epilepsy. Central to this call, is the acceptability of innovations and delivering outcomes that have been identified by people with epilepsy.

Grants to support pilot or start-up studies. Must be a novel piece of research and not part of an already funded project.

To support research projects into the causes, treatment, prevention and psychosocial aspects of epilepsy.

Open to researchers who have already been awarded an ERC grant. This will be additional funding to establish the innovation potential of ideas arising from the ERC-funded research projects.
