DRWF Research Fellowships are given for research related to causes, cures or complications of diabetes

Diabetes UK - Harry Keen Intermediate Clinical Fellowship

Allows outstanding medically or clinically qualified professionals, including nurses, pharmacists and members of the Allied Health Professions, who have gained a PhD or equivalent (eg MD (Res)), to establish themselves as independent researchers with a view to a long term career as a clinical research leader in the field of diabetes.

Enables graduate healthcare professionals to work towards a PhD or MD in diabetes and develop a career in research.

JDRF/MRC - Clinical Research Training Fellowships

Fellowships support clinically active professionals within the UK to undertake a higher research degree in the field of type 1 diabetes research. The scheme can also provide post-doctoral funding for applicants who achieved their PhD more than five years ago but who have not been research active since due to clinical training commitments.

Medical Research Council (MRC) - Clinical Research Training Fellowship (CRTF)

Supports clinically active professionals within the UK to undertake a higher research degree. The MRC collaborates with a number of Royal Colleges and charity funders to offer jointly funded Clinical Research Training Fellowship awards.

Medical Research Council (MRC) - Clinician Scientist Fellowship (CSF)

Develops talented medically and other clinically qualified professionals who have gained a higher research degree to lead their own research plans and establish their own research team to make the transition to independent investigator. Not available to individuals who hold a tenured academic position at the time of application.
