DRWF Research Fellowships are given for research related to causes, cures or complications of diabetes

Open to researchers who have already been awarded an ERC grant. This will be additional funding to establish the innovation potential of ideas arising from the ERC-funded research projects.

GOSH Charity and LifeArc are inviting translational, milestone-driven applications which aim to improve the prevention, diagnosis, prognosis, or treatment of rare disease or that focus on developing research tools that increase the efficiency of developing interventions in rare disease. JDRF provides seed funding for highly innovative, high risk high reward research with significant potential to accelerate the mission of JDRF. Proposals should address key outstanding questions and have the potential to lead to a challenge or a change in the current paradigm or conventional wisdom and/or lead to a ground breaking discovery.

Supports research and education in diabetes and invites individuals or departments in the UK working within the field of diabetes to apply for the clinical research awards. The funding amount can be £200,000- £300,000 for a Research Fellow, £12,000 for a Research Grant and £5,000 toward Clinical Projects.

Funds translational research that will lead to major advances in medical treatment. Priority will be projects addressing a key clinical need and have a good chance of being developed further towards clinical translation and patient benefit.

Funds tenured and non-tenured researchers, clinicians and non-clinicians to undertake high quality biomedical research and has no priority diseases or restrictions on the research area supported.
