JDRF - Development of Interventions to Modulate Immune Cell Trafficking in T1D

The goal of this funding opportunity is to accelerate the identification and validation of reagents that promote immune rebalance and the protection of beta cell function through modulating the trafficking of immune cells to the pancreatic islets. Proposals submitted for this opportunity should describe the preclinical or clinical development of therapeutic strategies targeting the trafficking of disease-relevant immune cell populations.

Supports clinically active professionals within the UK to undertake a higher research degree. The MRC collaborates with a number of Royal Colleges and charity funders to offer jointly funded Clinical Research Training Fellowship awards.

Medical Research Council (MRC) - Clinician Scientist Fellowship (CSF)

Medical Research Council (MRC) - Programme Grants

Provides grants for larger, longer term and renewable programmes. A programme is defined as a coordinated and coherent group of related projects, which may be developed to address an inter-related set of questions across a broad scientific area. Applicant must contact the Programme Manager of the relevant MRC Research Board to confirm whether the application fits the scheme at least six weeks before the submission deadline.
