The National Neonatal Audit Programme (NNAP) works to improve standards of neonatal care in England, Scotland, Wales and the Isle of Man. About one in eleven babies will need to be admitted to a neonatal unit because they are born prematurely, have a low a birth weight or have a medical condition that needs specialist treatment.
