About
This role balances strategic oversight and operational activity, internally and externally. You will lead collaboration and engagement with stakeholders across the UK, such as government departments, NHS organisational leaders and systems, public health bodies, commissioning bodies, sector agencies, specialty groups, voluntary sector groups and children, young people and families.
You will also represent the College on external groups responding to child health policy and services matters, and work with College staff to coordinate our responses to consultation documents that relate to the provision of health and wellbeing and services for children. You'll provide clinical support and guidance to the divisional teams who support the delivery of this portfolio.
This VP role oversees the work of other College Officers, including but not limited to the Devolved Nations Officers, Officer for Health Services, Officer for Child Protection, Officer for Mental Health and the Officer for Health Improvement. It also liaises with the College’s President, Registrar and Senior Management Team.
Applicants must be Fellows of the College normally resident in the UK. They must be nominated by two Ordinary Members or Fellows whose primary postal address registered with the RCPCH is in the UK.
