Portfolio Pathway Committee Assessors - volunteering opportunities

We are recruiting a number of assessors who will conduct and oversee the assessment of Portfolio Pathway applications in paediatrics and paediatric sub-specialties.

The responsibilities of a Portfolio Pathway Assessor are to:

  • Assess all evidence of Portfolio Pathway applications in paediatrics (or generic, non-clinical evidence in non-CCT applications in paediatric sub-specialties) under Article 14 of the General and Specialist Medical Practice Order 2003.
  • Advise the RCPCH Training Services team, of recommended outcomes for all applications in a timely manner. 
  • Undertake initial Portfolio Pathway training on selection to the role before commencing duties. Training may be conducted online. Attendance at other events to refresh training is strongly encouraged.
  • Advise on and raise issues over equivalence to training for doctors seeking Specialist Registration.
  • Contribute to production of resources such as video content, website content or articles about the Portfolio Pathway with support from the Training Services team.
