National Paediatric Diabetes Audit (NPDA) - communications resources

This page brings together NPDA communications resources designed for units to share with children, young people, families, and wider audiences. It includes flyers for England, Wales and Jersey, along with links to videos, posters, summary results, and parent/carer reports. These materials explain what the NPDA is, how data is used, and key findings from the audit in clear and accessible formats.

The NPDA Youth Voice Communication Project

NPDA and RCPCH &Us have been working together to involve children, young people and families in the audit and to create a range of resources

Projects like this are important because they help us feel less alone and show us that others have similar experiences

Young person with diabetes

RCPCH &Us have hosted NPDA communication workshops where children and young people from England, Wales and Jersey have come together to create, influence and shape the way audit information is shared is with children and young people living with diabetes, as well as their families. The resources created include posters which can be downloaded and displayed in NPDA units, guides and tips on how healthcare professionals can best communicate NPDA information to children and young people, and age-appropriate information about NPDA which can be shared with children and young people.

The materials and resources can be accessed via the Sharepoint site.

The video below is designed to help teams introduce the NPDA to children, young people and their families. Units are welcome to show it in clinic settings or share the link directly with service users when discussing the audit and how their data is used.
