NNAP Online: Report Data

The National Neonatal Audit Programme (NNAP) aims to help neonatal units improve care for babies and their families by identifying areas for quality improvement in relation to the delivery and outcomes of care.

NNAP Online: Report Data is a reporting tool which provides access to audit results from the 2023 data report. Results from previous NNAP reports (2014-2022) will be added to the NNAP Online: Report Data platform in the coming months.

About this reporting tool

Use NNAP Online: Report Data to:

  • view an overall annual summary report for a chosen neonatal unit or network for 2023 NNAP results (earlier years will be added in the coming months)
  • view and compare the results for specific NNAP audit measures for different units, unit designations or networks
  • view, via the outlier analysis section, whether a 2023 result for a unit or network is outside the expected range
  • generate a NNAP neonatal unit poster for 2023 (available soon).

If you have any questions about the NNAP, or this reporting tool, then please contact the NNAP project team at nnap@rcpch.ac.uk.

See the NNAP web pages for more information about the audit and our full range of reports and resources.

Frequent reporting data dashboard

Detailed NNAP results are also available on our public facing NNAP data dashboard. This presents results for each of the 10 NNAP performance metrics introduced in 2023 as annual rolling averages, and is updated on a monthly basis. Results can be displayed for neonatal units, Integrated Care Systems and Health Boards (Wales and Scotland), and by neonatal network.
