- How are we getting the data?
-
We are collating valuable feedback from Heads of School, trainees, supervisors, and deaneries to provide insights into the quality and standards of training, which was completed via RCPCH ePortfolio.
The below map serves as a resource to identify areas of good practices across regions and College support across deaneries.

- What are regions reporting overall?
-
Feedback from across UK training regions indicates that Progress+ has had a broadly positive impact on paediatric training.
Longitudinal supervision is widely feasible and well-established, offering trainees greater continuity and personalised support. Trainers have felt better equipped through dedicated guidance and regional initiatives, while career support has improved in several areas.
Updates to feedback processes - particularly the Multi-Source Feedback (MSF) - have made them clearer, more constructive, and better aligned with trainee needs.
Some regions reporting improved pass rates and greater flexibility for those with additional needs.
Importantly, Progress+ is viewed as more inclusive, with positive feedback on its impact on protected groups, mentioning longer completion time to complete exams. Overall, the system is seen as fairer, more supportive, and better structured for both trainees and trainers.
