In August 2019 RCPCH Child Protection Subcommittee (Scotland) responded to the Scottish Parliament’s Equalities and Human Rights Committee Call for views on Female Genital Mutilation (Protection and Guidance) (Scotland) Bill.
In January 2019 we responded to the Scottish Government consultation on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) Bill. We welcome commitments to strengthen the existing legislative framework for the protection of women and girls from FGM, a form of gender based violence.
In June 2023, we responded to the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities’ call for evidence to identify opportunities to reduce the number of children and young people accessing and using vape products.
