RCPCH and Royal College of General Practitioners are concerned about outbreaks of measles across the UK. Uptake of the MMR vaccine – which protects against measles, mumps and rubella - continues to be well below the 95% target set by the World Health Organization (WHO), which is necessary to achieve public health and eliminate the disease for spreading.
