How are children's urgent and emergency care services managing winter pressures? Each of the examples below describes a different approach, including details of the problem, the intervention and its costs and impact. They show how data-driven, systemic approaches focused on children’s care can lead to new roles and services within, alongside and beyond the emergency department that help to make a difference.

Winter pressures case study - a range of measures at East and North Herts NHS Trust
