Make an impact
The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health is seeking applications from Ordinary members and Fellows to join our Board of Trustees during an exciting and pivotal time.
As we continue with our ambitious 2024-27 College strategy and look ahead to our 30th anniversary as a Royal College in 2026, we need passionate and strategic thinkers ensure we meet our key objectives and drive forward our mission to improve child health both in the UK and globally.
This is an exceptional opportunity to have a direct influence on the College’s strategic direction and global impact.
I have enjoyed learning from the other Trustees, especially those from backgrounds other than medicine. I found being the Trustee lead for the EDI [equality, diversity and inclusion] workstream especially rewarding.
The Trustees help set the strategic direction of the College and support with governance, in part by acting in the role of 'critical friend' to the College's work... It's a great way to support the breadth of the RCPCH work.
About the role
As a Member Trustee, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the governance and leadership of RCPCH. You’ll ensure the College stays true to its Royal Charter, upholds its core values, and maintains financial stability. Your leadership will drive our mission to deliver public benefit, safeguard our reputation, and advance our strategic goals. You’ll have a direct impact on major projects and policies that shape the future of child health - from influencing national policy to guiding College initiatives on workforce, research, health inequalities, and beyond.
This is a chance to collaborate with a diverse and committed team of fellow Trustees, College members and the College Executive.
