About this course

Taking bloods and gaining vascular access in children/babies are daily occurrences that require skill, practice and counselling - these skills are rarely taught. We aim to alleviate stress with better improved decision making, fewer attempts, longer lasting lines, vein preservation, newer techniques and a better patient & clinician experience

Topics covered

We will teach Ultrasound-guided IV access, intraosseous (IO) & midline insertion, difficult cannulation, portacath access, finger & heel-prick sampling as well as troubleshooting central vascular access devices. "RIGHT VEIN, RIGHT LINE, FIRST TIME"

Audience

Clinicians with an interest in improving the child’s experience around IV access. For updated info Follow: Bristol DVAC on their socials and www.youtube.com/@dvac
