Dr Jared Murphy, ST4 paediatric resident and the 2025 awardee of the Vertex Physician in Pharma Programme says:
This is an opportunity for early-career physicians to do something outside of their typical scope and to use their skills and experience in a way that is different to what you've likely done before, but so valued and appreciated by your colleagues. Your colleagues are at the top of their game and care deeply about the jobs they do, with the ultimate goal for patients to benefit from medicines they haven't had before. On this program, I have worked with the medical affairs team; providing the data, training and communication to and from teams around the world to support stakeholders to make the most informed decisions to do best for patients, often with novel and potentially transformational therapies.
