Vice President for Education and Workforce - call for applications

RCPCH members are invited to apply for the position of Vice President for Education and Workforce. This senior Officer role works in close partnership with the President, Registrar, Treasurer, fellow Vice Presidents and College staff to advance the mission of the College, which represents more than 25,000 members across the UK and internationally.

About the role

As Vice President for Education and Workforce, you will lead the College’s strategy for education and workforce development, working closely with the President, senior Officers and Council. You will guide the College’s approach to educational resources, including courses, e‑learning and continuing professional development, ensuring high‑quality support for members across the UK and internationally. You will also oversee the development of national and global conferences in collaboration with the Events Team and Annual Conference Committee.

You will work with colleagues across workforce planning, recruitment and medical careers to advance key workforce projects, lifelong careers initiatives and recruitment programmes at all levels. This will include supporting national training recruitment, subspecialty and consultant appointments, and international pathways. Through this work, you will help shape the future paediatric workforce and strengthen the College’s strategic advocacy for paediatrics.

What happens next: election

If more than one application is received, a vote by electronic ballot will be held after the close of applications. Those eligible to receive the voting information will be Fellows, Senior Fellows, Ordinary Members, Senior Members and Honorary Fellows whose primary postal address registered with the RCPCH is in the UK.
