In February 2022 we responded to the Health & Social Care Committee’s consultation on mental health inequalities. We welcomed this inquiry as this will ensure that action will be taken to address the people and communities affected by these issues and reduce mental health inequalities in Wales.
This guidance covers the pathway and clinical considerations in the following situations:
(1) care of a child or young person (CYP) with suspected Mpox,
(2) CYP contact of a confirmed case of Mpox,
(3) newborn baby of a mother with suspected or confirmed Mpox.

We have submitted evidence to NHS England on how mental health should be considered within the Long Term Plan. Our response focuses on the mental health needs, support and services available for the 0-25 age group.
In 2021 the Department of Education published the overarching 10 Year Children and Young People’s Strategy (2020 – 2030) on behalf of the NI Executive. Subsequently, in 2022, the Executive produced an initial draft three Year Delivery Plan (2021-24) and published for public consultation.
