National Paediatric Diabetes Audit

We work with UK hospitals to measure the health outcomes and experiences of children with diabetes. Our findings and recommendations from 2016-17 are now available.
While there is variation in outcomes and care between hospitals, there have been national improvements in the numbers of children with diabetes achieving optimal diabetes management and in the provision of recommended health checks.
We ask doctors and nurses to record how many children and young people in their clinic receive the recommended health checks and how they are managing their diabetes in terms of their treatment, HbA1c and hospital admissions.
NPDA Results Online helps you view and compare results across the country. We developed it in response to consultations with the paediatric diabetes community. See some tips on how to use it, or download our user guide.

You can download the current dataset, templates for submitting data via CSV and questionnaire and user guides, as well as the clinical lead sign-off form and privacy notice.
